Ordinance for B.P.E ::



  1. A candidate for bachelor of physical education (BPE) shall pursue a course of studies in the college for three years.


  1. 10+2 of Punjab school education board or from a recognized Indian or foreign educational board/institutions or equivalent there of the at least 45% marks or aggregate.
  2. The candidate must be a position holder in district school tournament/ competition in game or athletic event.
  3. Every student shall be required to appear in physical fitness test, as per events mentioned, followed by written test. The candidate failing in physical fitness test shall not be allowed to sit in the written test.

Admission criteria for B.PE:

  1. Physical fitness test:    qualifying pass percentage is  50%
  2. Entrance test:                                                 60 marks

  1. Every student will have to pay the fees as prescribed by the university from time to time.

Scheme of Instruction:

  1. The in-service candidates are required to submit “no objection certificate” from the employers.
  2. Participation at national level should be supported by other sports certificates.
  3. The students of B.PE. are required to wear uniform for practical classes as prescribed by the board of control.
  4. Physical fitness test and enters test shall be conducted by the university.
  5. The candidate seeking admission to the course should be medically fit. A married woman will be require furnishing certificate to the effect that she is not already pregnant and shall undertake not to go in for pregnancy during the course of her studies.
  6. The last date for the receipt of admission forms and fees in the registrar’s office for the university examination shall be fixed by the university fro time to time.
  7. The students admitted to the course shall attend at least 75% of the lectures delivered in each theory and practical subject, provided that a shortage in attendance of not more than 15% may be condoned by the principal of the college.
  8. A student who has completed the prescribed course of instructions but does not appear in the examination of having appeared has failed, may be allowed, on the recommendation of the principal, to appear in the examination as a private candidate without attending fresh course of instructions within a period of two years, provided that such a candidate shall not be eligible to a medal, merit, position or scholarship.
  9. The candidates shall be examined in such theory paper and practical examinations as may be prescribed in the syllabus approved by the Academic council.
  10. The medium of instructions shall be English and Punjabi. However, the candidate may answer question in the examination, Hindi or Punjabi.
  11. A candidate shall be declared to have passed examination if he/she obtains not less than 35% of the marks in each theory and practical paper.
  12. Re-appear in one subject only shall be allowed. Minimum qualifying marks for reappear subject shall be 20%. Only three chances shall be given and the re appear students shall appear in the annual examination.
  13. A candidate, who has not been able to pass the examination within a period of three years from the date of admission, shall not be allowed to sit in the examination any more.


    • The examination shall commence in the first week of April every year or on such other dates as may be fixed by the university.
